Q: Is your platform portal enabled? Explain.
A: The Longview Platform can itself serve as a portal containing links and content from Longview and non-Longview sources. Alternatively, links to the Longview application can be placed on 3rd party portals.

Q: Is your platform OLAP enabled? Explain.
A: The Longview Platform is a fully enabled, single database, OLAP application supporting multi-dimensional query and analysis capabilities as well as data drill down. Our robust security ensures that users only have access to the appropriate data on either are read only or update basis.

In addition, the Longview application is ODBC-compliant and can work with other OLAP tools. Standard functions in our software create Microsoft Analysis Services cubes for static, offline report publishing where required.

Q: Explain how your platform handles multi-GAAP requirements and IFRS
A: Multi-GAAP requirements are handled by supporting an unlimited number of unique rollup structures and business rules. As an example, different account rollup structures can be set up to support both U.S. and Canadian GAAP requirements and different business rules can be set up to report currency translation adjustments on the Income Statement for Canadian reporting and on the Balance Sheet for U.S. reporting.

The Longview application contains all the capabilities required to handle the statutory consolidation requirements of IFRS. A: Longview provides several options including a library of web services and sophisticated ETL technology with certified, prebuilt connectors to major applications and databases such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, etc. This broad suite of data and metadata integration options offers extensive capabilities including:

• Extracting the required data from one or more sources and platforms and databases
• Ability to connect to and load data from any data source including ASCII or legacy formats
• Transforming and cleansing the data (formats, calculations, rules, and other forms of 'data massaging')
• Validating the data based on specific conditions and rules
• Combining data, performing cross-platform calculations where required

Q: What third party business intelligence tools and technologies does your Platform support? How does Longview integrate with BI and Reporting tools such as Microstrategy, Cognos, Business Objects/Crystal, OBIEE, WebFOCUS, etc.
A: Longview 7 already has robust native capabilities for CPM specific reporting and analysis. However, often times, companies have a need to combine CPM data with historical analysis using BI tools or may have a single BI standard for all reporting including compliance reporting.

The application provides a flexible Operational Data Store (ODS) that provides access to the multidimensional data and application logic in a BI friendly format and helps integrate with any 3rd party reporting or BI tools and technologies. Longview 7 has been optimized for use with MicroStrategy 9 and provides a seamless user interface between the applications for a tightly integrated CPM/BI solution.

The ODS generation can be fully automated.  Batch triggers and event triggers can be used in conjunction with the ODS to provide timely input to the BI tools i.e. help an end user to seamlessly work with both MicroStrategy (or other BI tools) and Longview.

Q: Can the application integrate with Microsoft SharePoint, PowerPivot?
A: Yes, the application integrates seamlessly with the SharePoint 2010 platform. Microsoft SharePoint is increasingly being used as an enterprise platform for corporate portals, collaboration and enterprise content. The integration of Longview 7 with SharePoint 2010 provides web content as well as document repository integration. Some of the capabilities include:
