John Power, CEO
John has been President and CEO of Longview since 2007. In this role, John is responsible for driving Longview’s product and technology vision, as well as all strategic initiatives focused on accelerating Longview’s growth and profitability.
John joined Longview in 1996 and has held a variety of senior management roles. Prior to joining Longview, he was the Director of Strategic Technology Planning for Southam Inc., where he was responsible for strategic technology initiatives and for managing corporate technology. John has also held leadership roles with Andersen Consulting, where he was responsible for managing large systems integration projects in the Canadian financial services industry.
John completed a Bachelor of Commerce and Finance degree at the University of Toronto, is an avid runner and cyclist and lives in Toronto with his wife and two children.
David Hughes, EVP, Sales and Marketing
David joined Longview in October 2015 as Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, with global responsibility in North America, EMEA and APAC. In his role, David brings over 30 years in Sales and Executive Management experience. Using proven strategies that deliver high-yield results, David provides thought leadership that will create long-term value for the organization and generate global awareness for the Longview brand.
Prior to joining Longview, David held a number of executive management positions where he transformed business units into high-performing global operations that achieved profitable growth. From 2012 to 2015, David was Vice President, Sales, for Purolator Inc., a leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider with revenues of $1.6B CAD. Prior to this, David held the role of Vice President Sales for EMEA and Asia Pacific and parts of the Americas with analytics software provider SAS.
David is a published author, an English major and resides in Oakville, Ontario.
Gerard Chiasson, EVP, Professional Services
As Executive Vice President of Professional Services, Gerard applies his expertise in strategic technology planning and large system integration to develop exceptional client service and implementation programs for customers of Longview.
Under Gerard’s leadership, and with his contagious commitment to customer intimacy, the Professional Services team has grown significantly to effectively support the expanding Longview client base. Gerard and his team of finance and technology experts apply best practices to ensure customers are equipped with best-in-class solutions.
Prior to joining Longview in 1997, Gerard was Director of Strategic Development for Southam Inc. He was responsible for strategic business initiatives and for managing change throughout the organization. Gerard has also had leadership roles with Andersen Consulting including Manager, Financial Services Industry, and was responsible for managing large systems integration projects in the financial services industry.
Gerard received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from St. Mary’s University and his Master of Computer Science degree from Queen’s University.
Outside of the office, Gerard is an avid golfer, runner and mountain biker and lives in Toronto.
Roland Hölscher, EVP, Strategic Initiatives
Roland Hoelscher joined arcplan in 1993. As Marketing Director, he was responsible for the market introduction of arcplan's first software solution, inSight, in 1994 and he established the U.S. subsidiary, arcplan, Inc. in 1997. Roland served as its CEO & President, responsible for corporate development and strategies in North and South America until he returned to arcplan Europe in 2003. Appointed as CTO in 2004 he was responsible for the product directions of arcplan. Previously, he held many integral positions with arcplan including Director of Application Development and Director of Marketing. Roland was appointed CEO of arcplan in 2011. Through the course of the merger with Longview in April 2015 Roland became EVP & MD Operations of Longview’s European business.
Prior to his employment with arcplan, Roland worked for a consulting organization, conducting portfolio analysis to support the strategy development of financial institutions. His versatility and various positions at arcplan and other companies have made him an expert in the business intelligence field. Roland holds a degree in Economics from the Westfaelische Wilhelms University in Muenster, Germany.
Scott Browne, CFO
Scott joined Longview in March 2015 as Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for all financial reporting, processes and staff. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CA) with extensive experience in the software, high technology and telecommunications sectors.
Prior to joining Longview, Scott held a number of senior positions in the finance and operational areas of Terago Networks, Bell Canada and BCE, AT&T Canada, Netcom Canada, Sony Computer Entertainment and Ernst and Young. At Terago Networks, a public company located in Canada, Scott served as Chief Financial Officer during a period of high earnings growth. At Bell Canada Scott served as Vice President of New Ventures responsible for identifying and executing on new growth opportunities. Scott earned his designation and gained extensive industry experience while at Ernst and Young.
Scott is married with two children. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario, a Masters in Business Administration from York University and is a Chartered Public Accountant. In his spare time Scott enjoys skiing, golf and live music.
Wayne Stevens, Chief Product Officer
Wayne Stevens has been with Longview since the company's inception. He has an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics CS/EEE from the University of Waterloo. Wayne's career with Longview has been a progressive one with roles expanding from Software Engineer to Director of Software Engineering and his current role as Chief Software Architect.
An expert in mathematics, abstract modeling, software design and engineering, and software methodology, Wayne is responsible for the progressive architecture and design of the Longview Performance Management Platform. Highlights of Wayne's achievements are reflected by the transition of the Longview solution from a client/server based system to an industry leading enterprise-wide Performance Management application with greatly enhanced performance, scalability, and functionality.
Wayne was the recipient of both the Descartes and Canada Scholarships. He enjoys woodworking, reading and spending time with his wife and two children.
Brad Smith, EVP, Support Services
Brad Smith brings more than 24 years of Enterprise Performance Management experience to Longview. As one of the founding employees of the company, his expertise crosses every functional area from Development and Implementation, to Infrastructure and Support.
Since joining Longview, Brad has held numerous management positions, most recently managing Support and Cloud services. He has played a pivotal role in some of Longview's most sophisticated and complex implementations. His understanding of Enterprise Performance Management issues and customer focus make him uniquely suited to his role as Executive Vice President, Support Services.
Brad is responsible for Longview’s Cloud operations and Global Customer Support. On a first-name basis with many customers, Brad exemplifies Longview’s commitment to create value and provide superior support for customers.
Brad has a background in Computer Sciences from Ryerson University, where he focused on Mathematics and Computer Programming.
Brad lives north of Toronto with his children and is an avid motorcyclist and traveler.
