While most chief financial officers (CFOs) would agree that they need to carefully adopt new technology that could transform their finance function, they aren’t particularly eager to embrace the perceived pain that comes with transformation.
 
Investment and some discomfort are both required of the CFO as finance incorporates leading-edge technologies, but the rewards are well worth it, say senior finance executives who have been through the transformation. With the aid of new finance technologies, for example, CFOs and their staffs can dedicate more time to forward-looking planning and strategy, and improving all aspects of the business, instead of simply generating month-end reports.
